An investigation is underway following the discovery of human remains on Walpole Island.
The Lambton OPP sent in their Canine Unit, Underwater Search and Rescue , and Emergency Response Team to assist Walpole Island First Nations officials with the discovery on Wednesday.
While police won’t say much else they do not believe there is any danger to public safety.
The investigation is ongoing and they will release more information as it becomes available.
