A grisly discovery along the Thames River east of London.
A member of the public spotted human remains along the river bank in Thames Centre while fishing earlier this week.
The Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit are working in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to attempt to identify the remains and determine a cause of death.
Authorities say the investigation is in the early stages and more information will be released when it becomes available.
