Busy weekend for the Summer Escape! My weekend started out with Optifest in Bothwell which was a great event. They had lots of activities happening Friday and Saturday for everyone to enjoy.
On Friday when I arrived at OptiFest I was able to see all of the vendors that lined Victoria Park in Bothwell. They had over 200 vendors at this event which was great! There were some churches selling food there as well. The Cowboy Junkies where playing on Friday night after the parade that led right back to the park. All of the kids activities were taking place on Saturday. Optifest was a lot of fun with lots of things to do for anyone who came out. There Car Show was on Saturday morning and the 50/50 draw was on Saturday afternoon. This event was great because it benefited the Bothwell Optimist Club. On Saturday afternoon they had Face 4 Radio playing at the refreshment tent.
The Summer Escape also went to WAMBO this weekend. Wambo had lots to do, including: the parade, the cardboard boat races, the car show, flea market, and live music! There was something for everyone to enjoy right here in Wallaceburg. The Summer Escape was in the WAMBO parade this past weekend as well! From Friday to Sunday, Wallaceburg was packed with lots of people who came out to enjoy WAMBO.
This past weekend was great for the Summer Escape with 2 major events that I got to attend which was awesome! I’m looking forward for this weekend with all of the events happening throughout the XS area!
