OTA Players Shine in Chatham

A Chatham man was one of the big winners at this weekend’s Ontario Tennis Association tournament in Chatham.

Mark Chapados placed first in the Men’s 5.0 event.

Other winners from the two-day tourney include Bianca Georgescu of Windsor in the Girls’ Under-14 category, Kingsville’s Lauren Portugal won the Women’s Open and the Girls’ Under-18.

This is the third year the Chatham Tennis Club has hosted the tournament, which features nationally and provincially ranked players who are looking to one day hopefully play at the National Bank Open.
