An annual charity golf tournament has exceeded all expectations and broken a fundraising record.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s 20th annual Charity Golf Tournament brought in $151,457 in support of the highest priority needs at CKHA, funding life-changing medical equipment and essential facility upgrades at the hospitals in Wallaceburg and Chatham.

“This year’s tournament was truly one for the record books,” said Christine Mitchell, President and CEO of CKHAF. “To raise more than $150,000 through a single-day event is a testament to the strength of our community and the passion that so many individuals and organizations share for supporting local healthcare.”

128 golfers took part in the sold out event June 6 at Maple City Country Club. CKHA Foundation officials say the tournament would not have been possible without the support of more than 20 dedicated volunteers and over 35 generous event partners.

This year’s winning foursome of Owen Dorssers, Jason Dorssers, Finn O’Brien, and Patrick O’Brien took home top honours with an impressive score of -17.

Plans are already in the works for next year’s event, set to take place Friday, June 5, 2026.
