Organizers are hailing an annual benefit for Chatham-Kent Hospice a huge success.

The 8th annual Chatham-Kent Hospice Benefit Gala was held at the Chatham Armoury this past Friday night, raising $182,171 including a $30,000 night-of donation to fund vital end-of-life care services in Chatham-Kent.

The sold-out event included a gourmet meal, a diamond draw and golden ticket raffle, as well as both live and silent auctions. Lisa Clement was the fortunate winner, choosing the Sweet Party Suite at a Windsor Spitfires game and a pair of tickets to next year’s gala.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us and to our generous sponsors, particularly our Title Sponsor, Victory Lincoln,” said Marian Redford, Chair of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation Board of Directors. “Your incredible support ensures that local families continue to receive vital residential hospice care, grief support, and care navigation at no cost to them.”

The Hospice Foundation is tasked with raising $182,000 per month to help support medical equipment and supplies, personal care products, and other day-to-day expenses.
