A local foundation has more than surpassed its goal over the holidays in support of children in need in the community.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent said it has raised a total of $62,215 following its holiday campaign.
“We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our community, our dedicated Board members, and everyone who contributed to the success of this campaign. Your generosity has not only met but exceeded our expectations, ensuring that we can continue to provide essential services and support to children and families in need,” said foundation president Mike Genge.
Launched on December 4, 2023, the campaign initially aimed to double donations through a matching initiative, for the first $10,000 contributed by December 31, 2023.
All funds raised will go towards social work, therapeutic recreation and music therapy offered by the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent to ensure more children and families have access to the support they need.
