Drug trafficking charges have been laid against a Chatham man after a police raid.
Officers watched the suspect go from his home to a local motel, where he was apprehended. Authorities say he was carrying three cell phone sand a large amount of cash.
Inside his vehicle, officers uncovered over $76,600 worth of drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with more cash, a gun, and ammunition.
The 32-year-old is now facing over a dozen charges, including:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Careless Storage of Ammunition
- Fail to Comply with a Release Order (2 counts)
- Possession of a Restricted Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order (4 counts)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
