A 58-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges after her dog bit a man back in July.
Animal Control officials say the victim sustained moderate injuries as a result of the bite.
Yesterday, Jason Hamm, Chatham-Kent’s Manager of Animal Control Services, says the owner is being charged with multiple offences under the Dog Owners’ Liability Act.
Officials say the two and a half year old American bulldog was surrendered to animal control two days after the incident, and has since been humanely euthanized due to high aggression after completing the required bite quarantine.
