The wraps are finally being taken off Pain Court’s newly revamped water tower.

A ceremony was expected to be held earlier this week to unveil the structure’s new look, but that was cancelled.

Work on the $2.3 million upgrade began back in January including the complete removal and replacement of the tank’s interior and exterior coating and various other improvements.

The structure provides water storage for the communities and areas around Pain Court and Dover.

This is the fourth water tower to be rehabilitated in the last eight years.

The PUC inspects and re-ranks the towers every year for their priority.

Over the next year, officials will be working through the process of selecting the next water tank to be re-painted.
