Pair Accused Of Stealing From Acquaintance

A pair of Chatham women are facing charges, accused of bilking an elderly friend of thousands.

Police say the victim contacted police when she noticed her bank account was in overdraft.

As a result of the investigation officers learned that two women had been given access to her account to purchase the necessities of life, and had withdrawn more than three grand with her bank card.

Rebecca Kubica, 41 years, and Jean Wodzinski, 65 years, both of Park Lane in Chatham have been charged with ten counts of theft of credit card and ten counts of theft.  Both were released with conditions pending a future court date of November 6, 2019.
