Two Ridgetown residents who were prohibited from contacting each other are facing charges.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a complaint at an address in Ridgetown on Tuesday at around 2:15 p.m. regarding a man and a woman who were bound by previous release conditions to avoid any communication.
Following an investigation, authorities found that the pair had allegedly been in contact between September 6 and September 9.
As a result, both were arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking. The two Ridgetown residents have since been released from custody and will answer the charge in court at a later date.
