Impaired driving charges have been laid against a Chatham woman after a bizarre traffic stop early this morning.
Just after 2:30, police got a call about a suspected drunk driver leaving a drive thru on St Clair Street. The vehicle was spotted on Grand Avenue a short time later, and eventually pulled over on Croydon Street, a few blocks away.
However, as the woman behind the wheel got out for a road-side sobriety test, police discovered she wasn’t wearing any pants or shoes.
The 39-year-old was taken to headquarters, charged, and held until she sobered up.
