Indian cuisine is on the menu for tonight’s annual Parade of Chefs.
Celebrity chef Vikram Vij is the host of tonight’s fundraiser for the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, and loves to celebrate local food.
“We, as Canadians, need to be proud of our own backyard, what we have, the produce, the beer, the wines that come from our area are absolutely fabulous,” the Indian-born chef says. “We should be so proud and so happy that we have what it takes to be a great culinary destination.”
Vij has appeared on such shows as Chopped Canada, Top Chef Canada, and Dragon’s Den, among others.
The Parade of Chefs kicks off at Club Lentinas at 4:30 this afternoon, dinner will be served at 6.
Proceeds from the event benefit the hospital’s diagnostic imaging equipment renewal campaign.
