It’s been one year since the Parkfield Restaurant in Chatham was replaced with the Community Living Park Ave Day Program.

Program Manager Betty Roberts says it’s been a year of growth and adjustment.
“When we changed, that was difficult for some people,” Roberts says. “I think they’ve adapted so well to a totally different environment, the people who attend the day program, they deserve a lot of credit because it was a complete turnaround from what they used to do.”
Roberts says there are many more options for people to try different things, from music fitness to a games room and computer lab.
Community Living Chatham-Kent supports over 550 people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
