If you really want to get out and enjoy the cold weather you can always go for a hike at Point Pelee National Park.
The park has now reopened after it was closed for a couple of weeks to reduce the deer population.
Parks Canada said based on 3 decades of research the park could only sustain about 30 deer and the population had exceeded that so it had to be done.
Over grazing by too many deer would put other species at risk, like the red-headed woodpecker.
