A fight over a parking spot has landed a Chatham man with charges.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Fort Street property in Tilbury just before 5:30 Wednesday afternoon and say the accused had confronted a woman over a parking space. Authorities say the man then allegedly flicked a lit marijuana cigarette at the woman, hitting her in the forehead.

The 25-year-old man later went to the police station in Tilbury and was arrested. He has now been charged with assault with a weapon, and was released with conditions and a date in court next month.
