In a recent newsletter, Pattern Development and Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. says recent well water complaints are “not related to construction of the North Kent Wind turbine foundations.”

This comes after the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change released a report with similar findings.

Pattern and Samsung say, “the highest vibration levels recorded at the residential water supply well locations were attributed to well pumps and nearby traffic. Vibration levels at the water well locations from construction activities were inconsequential and much less than everyday sources.”

Local activists maintain that the black sediment showing up in their well water is the result of vibrations from pile-driving activities at the beginning of construction nearly a year ago.

Pattern and Samsung have released a video about the North Kent Wind Project.
