3 slices firm white bread, diced
one third cup water
1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound lean ground turkey
2 large egg whites
one third cup grated Pecorino Romano or Parmesan cheese
3 teablespoons grated onion
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 tablespoon salt
one forth teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
Preheat oven to 425F. Line a 15 and a half inch by 10 and a half inch jelly roll pan with foil; spray with nonstick cooking spray.
In large bowl, combine diced bread and water. With hand, mix until bread is evenly moistened. Add ground beef, ground turkey, egg whites, chesse, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic. With hand, mix until ingredients are well combined.
Shape meat into 24 2 inch mwatballs. Place meatballs in jelly roll pan and bake 15-20 minutes, until cooked through and lightly browned.
