The leader of the federal conservative party is weighing in on last night’s events in Strathroy.

Rona Ambrose says the RCMP take down of terrorist threat Aaron Driver is a sober reminder.

“I want to thank the security forces and police forces for the great job they did. Putting their own lives on the line to keep Canadians safe,” says Ambrose. “But what happened yesterday is a reminder to all us that the the threat of terrorism is very real right here at home in Canada.  We have to always remain vigilant here at home. But we also have to be strong contributes to the fight against terror globally.”

Ambrose made the comments during a visit in Chatham earlier today.
