Pedestrian Dies After Walpole Island Collision

An investigation is ongoing after a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian on Walpole Island First Nation.

The Walpole Island Police Service said emergency crews responded to the collision on Tecumseh Road between Chiefs Road and Arena Road, at around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Walpole Island resident, was rushed to hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

The collision remains under investigation, with assistance from the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team.
