A local man is fighting for his life after being struck by a vehicle in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to Grand Avenue West near Woods Street shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
The pedestrian, a 47-year-old Chatham-Kent man, was rushed to hospital by EMS, where his injuries were determined to be life-threatening. He was later air-lifted to a Windsor hospital for further medical treatment.
There has been no word on whether charges will be laid but the Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the collision.
