Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle, Seriously Injured On Walpole Island

One person has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Walpole Island First Nation.

The Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded to Chiefs Road at around 6 a.m. on Monday after a pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck.

The pedestrian, a 34-year-old from Walpole Island, was rushed to hospital to be treated for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation remains ongoing.
