The OPP and Chatham-Kent Police have initiated their Festive Ride program.
This means an increased number of RIDE checkpoints and other measures to reduce impaired driving during the holiday season.
With all the holiday parties and work gatherings there is a tendency to see an increase in the number of people who get behind the wheel after a few drinks.
Chatham-Kent Police set up a RIDE check Friday night and were pleased to report 152 stops and not one infraction.
They urge the public to come up with alternate plans to get home if they are going to drink.
