A gorgeous weekend for the 2022 Chatham-Kent Plowing Match, held at the DeBrouwer farm in Blenheim.

In all, 21 people took part in the competition with the winners of each match taking home a 75 dollar prize along with bragging rights.

Best plowed land at the match went to Rob Sterling, and Kyle Ross took the title of junior special, best land for those 15 and under.

Dresden’s Rebekah Ball, who took first in Ladies Class 1, was named Queen of the Furrow with Meg Avery taking the Princess title.

Plans are now in the works for the 86th annual Chatham-Kent plowing match, being held August 12th, 2023.

This year’s International Plowing Match runs September 20th to the 24th in North Grenville in eastern Ontario.
