Local residents continue to show their disdain with changes to the intersection of Murray and Reaume in Wallaceburg.
A volunteer campaign is gaining momentum, as local residents continue to gather at the corner every morning and afternoon to help kids cross the street safely.
The stop signs on Murray were removed at the beginning of September in favour of a lighted pedestrian crossing device, but critics say drivers aren’t paying attention, and kids heading to and from school are left at risk.
An online petition asks the municipality to install a proper traffic light at the corner to help increase safety, and so far has over 900 signatures.
You can find the petition here.
