Should the Municipality prohibit the sale of animals in pet stores? 
That question will be up for debate at tonight’s Council meeting.
Chatham Councillor Brock McGregor wants the Municipality to stop the sale of non-rescue cats and dogs in retail stores in Chatham-Kent, stating that this contributes to adverse animal health.
To do this, he’s asking his fellow councillors to support an amendment in the Responsible Animal Ownership By-Law.
