Pfizer Shortage in CK as Booster Eligibility Expands

Chatham-Kent adults who got their second dose of COVID vaccine at least three months ago can now book a booster shot through the municipality’s online booking system.

Province-wide eligibility opened up today for those 18 and older.

However, due to a shipment delay of the Pfizer vaccine from the province, local residents 30 and older will be getting Moderna for their booster shots, and Pfizer doses will be reserved for those 18-29 following advice from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.

Clinics are being held at the Bradley Convention Centre, as well as two special pop-up clinics – one at the Wallaceburg Community Health Centre from 5-7pm for Indigenous residents 5 and older, and Tilbury District High School for kids aged 5-11 and their immediate family members until 8 o’clock.

To book an appointment at the Bradley Centre or TDHS, visit getyourshotck.ca or call 519-351-1010.
