Charges have been laid against a Chatham man, accused of trying to pass off a fake $50 bill.
Police were called early this morning and say the accused used counterfeit money to pay for a cab ride.
The 35-year-old has since been arrested.
Charges include possession of counterfeit money, using counterfeit money, and two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.
