Phoney C Note Lands Bothwell Man In Jail

Chatham-Kent Police made an arrest in a funny money scam.

On March 1st, they tell us a 46 year old Bothwell man purchased some items from a business on Keil Drive in Chatham, and paid for them with a counterfeit 100 dollar bill.

Police used video, and asked the public for help, and received it.

March 2nd, another business called police to say the man was there.

An officer confirmed he was a suspect, and a warrant was requested for his arrest.

That Came on Saturday, as he was taken into custody. The man was later released with a future court date.
