The Canadian Cancer Society is turning to piggy banks to help fund its ‘Wheels of Hope’ program.
Pigs of Hope helps fund the program and Cindy Vinall, the Sr. Manager for the community offices for the Canadian Cancer Society, says you can adopt a pig at the society’s offices.
“Last year we assisted 219 clients with 3590 trips made by 37 volunteer drivers in Chatham,” Vinall says. “Last year alone the Wheels of Hope transportation program in Chatham-Kent cost us over $100,000.”
The pigs will be out and about, and available for adoption until the first week of January.
