Chatham-Kent Police say the community is a safer place, thanks to this past weekend’s prescription drop-off.
Officers in Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Tilbury collected more than 4500 narcotic pills at three locations on Saturday, more than double the amount brought in last year.
More than 157 pounds of other non-narcotic medications were also handed over.
