The new Member of Provincial Parliament for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex says he’s committed to tackling the priorities of constituents in his riding, especially those in Wallaceburg and Dresden.
MPP Steve Pinsonneault opened the doors to his new constituency office in Wallaceburg on Thursday, the second of two.
“With Strathroy being the biggest community in my riding, I wanted [an office] there. Wallaceburg is the second biggest community; it just made sense to have one at each end,” he said.
Since being sworn in on May 29, Pinsonneault said he’s been approached multiple times about addressing the proposed reopening and expansion of a dormant landfill in Dresden, and ensuring the redevelopment of Wallaceburg’s hospital continues to move forward.
“Right now everybody is saying ‘make sure this hospital gets done,'” said Pinsonneault. “I committed to [former MPP] Monte [McNaughton] when he was helping through the process, that I’d see this hospital done. It’s very important to this community it’s very important to Chatham-Kent.”
Pinsonneault’s newest office in Wallaceburg is located at 60 McNaughton Ave. Unit 14. His other constituency office is located in Strathroy.
