The roar of engines will fill the air in Thamesville this June.

After a two-year hiatus, the Freedom Road Riders Association is back with its 5th Longwoods Motorcycle Rally.

Organizers are gearing up for a weekend of bikes, bands, and community spirit June 6th to the 8th. Plans for the three-day event include a mega-group motorcycle ride, show n’ shine, live entertainment, a beer garden, food trucks, and other vendors.

Officials say the weekend is open to all, including those who don’t ride.

All proceeds from the Longwoods Motorcycle Rally will benefit the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent.

The Freedom Road Riders Association is planning several other events through the year in support of local charities such as Chatham-Kent Hospice, CK Animal Rescue, the Thamesville Sertoma Club, and Thamesville Legion.
