Point Pelee National park is once again open for business.
And tourists.
Parks Canada announced earlier this month the park would be closed for a deer cull.
Parks Canada and the Caldwell First Nation completed the deer reduction as part of their initiative to improve the ecosystem.
A census of the park determined the population had risen to over 100 deer in an area where only 30 should be sustainable.
They said the population exploded because of a combination of warmer weather and the lack of natural predators.
The park reopened Saturday, two days earlier than expected.
