The first annual Polar Plunge is happening this morning in Chatham.
It’s a fundraiser for Special Olympics Ontario, and Chatham-Kent Police Constable Jason Herder says everyone is welcome to attend:
“We have an outdoor portable pool we’ll be jumping in right in front of the Health Plex at St. Clair college in Chatham,” says Herder. “We’ve surpassed our goal and we’re ecstatic.”
Herder says all of the funds are going to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. They’ve raised over $10,000 so far.
