A shoplifting complaint has led to charges for a Chatham-Kent man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a St. Clair Street retail store just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, after a man selected multiple items and left without paying.
Authorities located a suspect nearby and took him into custody. The stolen items were also recovered.
The 40-year-old man has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
