Chatham-Kent Police are being kept busy responding to a number of thefts and break-ins over the last 24 hours.

Officers say yesterday afternoon, a woman was in her home and her dog started barking. She soon found that a strange man was in her house. He fled as the woman called police. Officers found the 43-year-old Chatham man a short distance aware and charged him with break and enter.

Police are looking for a different suspect, involved in a theft on Caledonia Road. Officers say power tools, a laptop, and a red Honda motorcycle were taken in that case.

And a 20-year-old Chatham man is being charged with theft after stealing some bicycle tubing from Canadian Tire.
