A local man is facing charges following a break-and-enter at a bakery in downtown Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a report of a break-in at Sweet C’s Cookie Creations on King Street West, at around 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities have not provided any information about what was stolen during the incident, however staff at the store posted on social media earlier this week that the culprit got away with about 80% of their supplies.
Responding officers located and arrested a 46-year-old Chatham man who is now charged with break-and-enter and two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
