Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public’s help after a man was assaulted with a pipe in Wallaceburg.

Officers answered a call on James Street where 2 men were involved in an altercation.

One man reportedly grabbed a pipe and struck the other.

The man was released from hospital after being treated for non life threatening injuries.

The suspect was known to the  victim but he fled before police arrived.

Police are seeking a warrant for the suspect as the investigation continues.
