
Two men are facing charges following two separate impaired driving incidents in Chatham-Kent over the weekend.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers stopped a vehicle on Grand Avenue East in Chatham shortly before 4 a.m. on Friday and alleged that the 27-year-old man behind the wheel had been drinking.
He was taken to police headquarters for further tests.
Then on Saturday, officers stopped another vehicle on Pollard Line in Tilbury at around 1:15 a.m. During the stop, officers allegedly spotted an open container of alcohol within reach of the driver.
A 26-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and taken to the local detachment for tests.
Both drivers have since been charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and released with future court dates.
