A Brampton man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a local police officer.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers on patrol located a man at a Chatham address at around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, who was listed as “an unwanted person at Grand Avenue West.”
When approached by authorities, the man became aggressive and allegedly assaulted a police officer. The officer was uninjured.
As a result, a 26-year-old Brampton man was arrested and is now charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
