A man is facing charges after throwing a shoe and urine at an officer while in police custody.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the man appeared before a Justice of the Peace to answer to charges for a separate offence on Tuesday at around 3 p.m.
When he found out that he would be remanded into custody, he became angry and allegedly threw his shoe at an officer. He then threw urine, hitting the officer in the face.
The accused is now facing additional charges of assault and assault with a weapon.
