Police have made an arrest after tracking down around $10,000 in stolen property.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers received a report of a break-and-enter at a business in downtown Chatham on Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m., after a man entered the building and stole several laptops and other accessories earlier that morning.
After reviewing surveillance video of the incident, officers were able to identify a suspect.
As a result, a 30-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested. He is now charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
