Remarkably no injuries have been reported after a trailer separated from a moving transport truck on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police said on Friday shortly before 9 a.m., the commercial trailer became detached from the transport truck that was pulling it. The trailer left the road and came to a rest in the ditch.
Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the collision and no one was injured.
The Ministry of Transportation attended the scene of the collision and the agency has since taken over the investigation.
One lane of the highway was temporarily closed on Friday to remove the trailer from the ditch.
