Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with video footage following a two-vehicle crash that shut down Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the two vehicles collided in eastbound lanes of the highway just west of Bloomfield Road last Thursday at roughly 9:36 a.m.

Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries and another person was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police have not provided any further information about the collision since Thursday, but investigators would like to speak with anyone who was on the 401 or on Seventh Line West and may have captured video footage of the crash.
