A local man is facing charges in connection with several break-and-enters in Chatham that took place over the last month.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers with the Intelligence Unit arrested a man on Wellington Street East on Tuesday, who matched the description of a suspect in four commercial break-and-enter investigations.
While the man was in custody, officers were able to establish a connection between the accused and four other break-ins.
All eight of the break-and-enters occurred in the Chatham area between April 22 and May 27.
The 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man is now charged with possession of a stolen credit card, theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, and eight counts of break-and-enter.
