Local residents may see officers out in force in Chatham this week, but there’s no cause for alarm.
Officers with the Chatham-Kent Police Service will be conducting training exercises at theĀ former St. Ursula Catholic School at 426 Lacroix Street from Tuesday through Thursday.
Police officials said residents may notice an increased police presence in the area, and neighbours may also hear realistic sound effects during the training.
While local residents should not be concerned, the public is asked to avoid the immediate area while the exercises are underway to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the training.
