police_handcuffs_alt4-300x224A tense situation and a brief stand-off with police at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance means charges for a Chatham man.

Police say the 38-year-old was hostile and arguing with hospital staff Thursday morning.

The man wouldn’t settle down and when police arrived to take control of the situation, he grabbed a pair of scissors. Police had to use a taser to get the man to drop the weapon and he was arrested without injury.

He’s facing weapons and breach of probation charges.
