With less than three weeks until election day, it’s a race to the finish line for candidates across the country.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex PPC candidate Bria Atkins is going to use a grass roots campaign to get her message out.
Atkins says given the shoe string budget she’ll use social media too.
My campaign from this point forward will be door knocking every single day and building my social media. As you know we’re a grass roots party we don’t have a lot of staff, or millions of dollars in the bank, we’re going from the ground up.”
Atkins is facing off against Lianne Rood, Jesse McCormick, Dylan McLay, and Anthony Li.
Meantime in Chatham-Kent-Leamington, NDP Candidate Tony Walsh made a stop in Chatham this week to talk to Rotary members.
Walsh spoke on a wide range of topics, including struggling with an aging population.
“We want a national strategy for seniors in place, we want to expand the national dementia strategy. We need to make sure we have an elder abuse department. There are a number of things we can do for our vulnerable seniors. But at the end of the day we have to make sure our sick are getting better.”
